'How to' Measure
On this page you will find video tutorials that help you fill out the Design sheet. Measurements don't have to be exact but please stay within a 100mm (10cm) tolerance. All information provided will be reviewed and used to provide an accurate quotation.
All you need to measure is a
-
Tape measure
-
Something to 'mark' your space. We recommend masking tape or sticky post-it notes if you prefer not to use a pencil
-
Stepladder, if your intended print size is out of reach!
Measuring the Working Wall Space Size
This is the total area that we can print inside. Please take note of immovable obstacles in the way, such as sockets, light switches or radiators. In some cases we can print around obstacles, this can be discussed in our telephone consultation
Measuring the Design Print Image Size
This is the total area that will be printed. For your desired print, measure the maximum height of your image and the maximum width of your image. This is so we can get an approximate size of the final image(s) to be printed.
Measuring the Reference Point Size
By measuring a reference point, we are able to scale your design accurately. This helps us create a technical drawing showing the correct proportions of your design in relation to your chosen reference point. A door works great but if that's not available, a chair or floor lamp works well too. Watch our video below if you want to include a reference point measurement in your design form.
